Dr. Bowary has a multicultural background and values the relationship between culture and mental healthcare. He can speak to his patients in English, French or Arabic. Through his previous role at the American Psychiatric Association Assembly, he has done work related to trauma in the LGBTQ community and would like to be a helpful resource for LGBTQ patients with history of stress or trauma related to hiding or disclosing a LGBTQ identity and/or having to negotiate coming out.
Dr. Bowary has been involved in different research studies in the field of brain stimulation and neuromodulation. He is now offering TMS therapy to patients with depression in whom other treatments haven’t been effective.
Dr. Bowary also specializes in the treatment of ADHD in adults. He aims at providing a clinically informed treatment approach that could help his patients maximize their strengths and achieve their goals in their academic, career and personal life realms. He works alongside with his patients to find an individualized combination of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy that would be a good fit for them.
