social anxietyThough we all feel shy sometimes, many individuals are held back by more intense feelings of shyness and deeper insecurities in social situations.  Fortunately, there has been much research into the bases of social anxiety and many good strategies have been developed to help people feel less self-conscious and more confident in social situations.

Typical problem areas include: dating, interviews, being the center of attention, parties, etc.

Many of our clinicians find working with individuals on improving their ability to function more effectively in social situations to be some of the most rewarding work we do.
